Vocal and Overall Musical Direction

David Potts leads the Chancel Choir , the Choristers, and our new Young Spirit Choir.  Our Chancel Choir sings weekly at 10:30am services.  The Choristers and the Young Spirit Choir sing at various times during the year. Soloists also enrich our worship.  Chancel Choir rehearsals are held throughout the school year on Thursdays at 7:15pm.  For more information or to join any of these choirs, or if you have other musical talent you are willing to share, please contact David Potts (home phone: 508-842-7746). 

Handbell Music

Under the direction of Susan Lee, three English Handbell Choirs enrich our worship frequently. 
  • The Bells of St. Matthew's:  Rehearses Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00pm
  • Pax Mané (small ensemble):  Rehearses Saturday mornings
  • The Holy Ringers (intergenerational):  Meets Tuesdays, 5:15-6:00pm
  • Handbells For Fun:  Meets Fridays, 10:00-11:00am, to learn new skills, play different positions, and to work on secular material.

Organ/Piano

Ken Plant delights us week after week with a variety of music from jazz and gospel to classical and beyond.  With a state-of-the-art Rogers Digital Organ and a Yamaha G2 grand piano, Ken has a vast array of sounds at his disposal, which he uses creatively as called for by the music.
 
 

Music at St. Matthew's 2011-2012 Season

Music at St. Matthew’s is pleased to announce their 2011-2012 season. Join us for 4 afternoons of outstanding music. This year's lineup features guitarist John Muratore along with accordionist Roberto Casson, keyboard artist Marjorie Ness and renowned soprano Maria Ferrante, the Wolverine Jazz Band, and Renaissance ensemble Vox Lucens.
